Presentation

I am a Värmlandstös with a lot of energy and high goals. What made me start playing sports as a child was that the sports movement was characterized by faith in the future. In sport, there is a built-in ambition for development and continuous improvement.

Children are the most valuable thing we have. By playing sports, children can, among other things, learn values, create relationships, gain increased self-confidence and self-esteem, gain increased physical strength or have the opportunity to think about something else for a while. I am convinced that by offering children a sport that is safe and developing, we will create a good society.

As a lawyer at the children’s rights organization PACS, I work for sports to take on more social responsibility in society than sports do today. One way to achieve this goal is for PACS to train associations in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and national legislation. PACS also offers sports associations training in how to create safe sports environments. This training is based on the latest research on how to prevent sexual abuse in a systematic and long-term way. The starting point for PACS work is that every child should have the right to play sports, in a safe and developing sports environment. All children have the right to knowledge of their rights under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and therefore education for children is also included. PACS is a seal of quality for parents and children when choosing a sports club.

I am a trained lawyer and have worked in court, law firm and government agency. I have also been active as a football player, coach and member of the Upplands football association. I also have a background in SvFF and UEFA.

I am proud to be a part of NYFA. I have not experienced an organization that has an innovative view of football and leadership such as NYFA. I believe that this approach and NYFA as an organization can contribute a lot in Swedish football and thus also in Swedish sports’ quest to become the world’s best sport.
